Deeside Finishing Supplies was founded in 2010 by Kevin Whittle, following many years of serving the wood and steel tube industries through Universal Finishing Systems. Between them, the two companies have manufactured and supplied painting, cleaning and mechanisation equipment to the woodworking and steel tube industries for two generations.

Kevin’s father Derek Whittle founded Universal Wood Products Machinery in 1979, which after its successful development into the steel tube industry changed its name to Universal Finishing Systems in 1998. Kevin took over as Managing Director in 2005, with Derek remaining as a consultant.

With the eventual need to restructure the company came the creation of Deeside Finishing Supplies, which since its foundation has won many major contracts in the UK and several other countries throughout the world.

Deeside manufactures vacuum coating machines, sanding machines, drying systems and ancillary conveyors in the UK. It also has a close co-operation with several manufacturing partners, which manufacture spraying machines, cleaning machines and specialised handling systems, so that it can offer complete turnkey solutions to its customers.
